Providing our students with guidance and tools to give back to the community encourages stronger humanitarian values. Our school has been involved with many community and environmental activities, helping us build stronger relationships and create a bigger bridge of communication with our community.
Our school has participated with many NGOs in the UAE (e.g. Emirates Environmental Group) and other Filipino Community Groups on community services such as Beach Clean-Up, Tree Planting, and other environmental activities.
FEPSians who give back to the community end up performing better in school with both academic and non-academic activities. These projects enhance their way of thinking and connect them with the real world, outside of their school. We advocate for our students to volunteer in helping make our environment better — bringing more awareness on how to make our earth healthier, the climate better, and reducing plastic and other non-renewable resources. Monthly activities such as World Environment Day and Earth Day demonstrate the importance of environmental protection.
Not only do these projects give our students a sense of belonging — they also give them a purpose. At the end of the day, these selfless acts are not for themselves, but for everyone in the community. It inspires a sense of purpose so that when they leave FEPS, they will continue to care for the environment, continue to participate, and stay involved with community services and projects that benefit others.
