Behavioral violations and their categories

The following framework outlines the school's disciplinary structure as required by the UAE Ministry of Education.

First Level Violations

• Coming late to morning assembly or not participating
• Coming late to class without acceptable justification
• Being absent without acceptable justification
• Not wearing the school uniform or sports dress
• Not bringing books and school tools, or not taking care of them
• Entering or leaving the classroom during the lesson without permission
• Negligence or not doing the homework
• Non-compliance with regulations of using school facilities
• Bringing mobile phones or electronic devices (flash memory, laptops, etc.) without teacher's permission and parent's waiver

Measures

1. Verbal notice by teacher or staff witness, documented per regulations
2. Written notice by Principal's Assistant warning against repetition
3. Calling the guardian and informing them verbally of the behavior

Second Level Violations

• Writing on school walls and furniture
• Absconding from school during the school day
• Quarreling with or threatening schoolmates verbally and physically
• Non-compliance with disciplinary regulations
• Talking inappropriately to schoolmates or staff
• Counterfeiting the guardian's signature

Third Level Violations

• Possessing sharp items, firearms, or hazardous materials at school
• Damaging or destroying school equipment, devices, or buses
• Damaging belongings of schoolmates or staff
• Flagrant violations of community traditions in clothing, appearance and behavior
• Seizing belongings; on-campus smoking
• Possession or distribution of unlicensed media materials

Fourth Level Violations

• All kinds of threats to school staff
• Engaging in actions contradictory to the morals including sexual harassment

Fifth Level Violations

• Defamation of political, religious, or social symbols
• Possessing, bringing, promoting, or using drugs, narcotics, or psychotropic substances
• Assaulting schoolmates or staff
• Counterfeiting official school documents
• Defaming religions or causing sectarian/religious conflicts
• Using firearms or non-firearms in the school
• Major actions contradictory to the morals; acts of public indecency

Disciplinary forms (per UAE Ministry of Education)

• Form 1 — Written Notice
• Form 2 — Written Warning
• Form 3 — Written Notice to the Guardian
• Form 4 — Written Undertaking by the Student
• Form 5 — Notice of Temporary Ban from Attending School
• Form 6 — Notice of Assigning Community Service Work
• Form 7 — Notice of Transfer to Another School
• Form 8 — Notice of Ban from Attending School till End of Year
• Form 9 — Notice of Dismissal from Public School
• Form 10 — Referral to the Educational Zone
