The Kindergarten is, by far, the most important step in the ladder of educational experience. The school aims to strike a balance between the natural development of 3-5 year olds through an organized, systematic, child-centered program as well as a definite syllabus-oriented curriculum.
Through active learning and experience of the environment, the foundation is laid for the basic skills like listening, speaking, reading, writing English, and number concepts required for Mathematics. Science is introduced at this early stage to encourage the natural curiosity of the child. Art is introduced so learning will not be purely cerebral but coupled with fun and creativity.
This level is for children between 6-12 years old. The curriculum is contemporary, value-oriented, and specially designed to meet the specific needs, abilities, and talents of pupils. The program becomes more structured with the strengthening of skills and experiences.
The school has English as the first language. Arabic is taught as a compulsory second language up to Grade 10 level. Apart from this, students learn one more language — Tagalog/Filipino.
Besides Languages, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Health and Education, Music and Arts, as well as Computer Studies are taught.
Apart from the usual subjects taught in the lower grades, the high school students are introduced to specialized subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Integrated Science in the Sciences and Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry in Mathematics. Research and Journalism, Consumer Mathematics, Statistics and Calculus are included as elective subjects in English and Mathematics. Computer Studies continue through Grade 10, with mastery over various software packages and the internet.
Senior High school is the 11th and 12th year of the new educational system. It serves as a specialized upper secondary education. Students may choose a specialization based on aptitude, interests, and school capacity. The choice of career track will define the content of the subjects a student will take in Grades 11 and 12. Senior high school subjects fall under either the core curriculum or specific tracks.
